O2kLR 007.temperature +HVM, BM, 20/4/2016 Arctic1148Spielhagen2011_forams_SIMMAX, at 50 m_summer We used the SIMMAX data due to its higher resolution, and due to the poorer sensitivity of the Mg/Ca data as reported in their paper.  +
O2kLR 009.temperature +Assemblage not used, chronology is not QC'd  +
O2kLR 017.temperature +HVM, BM, 20/4/2016 Atlantic0043aRichey2009__Garrison_PE07-2_Mg/Ca Note that raw 14C ages in Richey et al. (2009) are reported with the 400-year reservoir age subtracted (Pers. Comm. J. Richey 1 April 2015).  +
O2kLR 019.temperature +These are the original, not quality controlled data. O2kLR recommends only using the Quality controlled data.Identical to O2kLR_017  +
O2kLR 030.temperature +HVM, BM, 20/4/2016 Atlantic0195aKeigwin2005__OCE326 26GGC_alkenone  +
O2kLR 032.temperature +These are the original, not quality controlled data. O2kLR recommends only using the Quality controlled data.Identical to O2kLR_030; Dataset truncated at -200 CE  +
O2kLR 045.temperature +HVM, BM, 20/4/2016; MSS, 07/10/2016; Atlantic0234Sicre2011__MD99-2275_alkenone Sicre et al., (2011) (alkenone) was selected and not Jiang et al., (2005) (diatoms) for core MD22-9975. Sicre et al., (2011) has a much higher resolution record but both records show the same trend. Diatoms have now been published at higher resolution by Jiang et al (2015; Geology, doi: doi:10.1130/G36377.1) after the completion of the compilation.  +
O2kLR 046.temperature +These are the original, not quality controlled data. O2kLR recommends only using the Quality controlled data.Dataset contains repeated values and NaNs; Not QC'd  +
O2kLR 047.temperature +HVM, BM, 20/4/2016 Atlantic0235Sicre2011__RAPid 21-3K_alkenone Data are from the same location as the composite in Miettinen et al., (2012; diatoms, August SST, cores RAPiD-21-3K + RAPiD-21-12B ). The alkenone reconstruction from Sicre et al. (2011; RAPiD-21-3K) has higher resolution down core, and covers a wider range of the calendar year. The associated box core RAPiD-21-12B has an intact sediment surface and 210Pb measurements, however we did not apply the age model from RAPiD-21-12B to the RAPiD-21-3K alkenone record. Data younger than the youngest14C age (1730 CE) in RAPiD-21-3K were removed.  +
O2kLR 048.temperature +These are the original, not quality controlled data. O2kLR recommends only using the Quality controlled data.Dataset contains NaN values and datapoints whose chronology is not QC'd (near top of the core)  +
O2kLR 066.temperature +HVM, BM, 20/4/2016 Atlantic0326cLund2006_MgCa_dry-tortugas_62MC  +
O2kLR 068.temperature +These are the original, not quality controlled data. O2kLR recommends only using the Quality controlled data.Identical to O2kLR_066  +
O2kLR 074.temperature +HVM, BM, 20/4/2016 Atlantic0368Keigwin2003__MC-29D_alkenone  +
O2kLR 076.temperature +These are the original, not quality controlled data. O2kLR recommends only using the Quality controlled data.Identical to O2kLR_074  +
O2kLR 082.temperature +HVM, BM, 20/4/2016 Atlantic0403deMenocal2000__ODP-108-658C_foram-assemb_aveFebAug August and February SST data averaged to give an annual mean SST. The deMenocal et al., (2000) data set was selected instead of Zhao et al., (1995) because it had higher resolution. Trends between the two cores were similar.  +
